TWC was established in 2022 through the philanthropic efforts of Laura Westlund (1943-2023), a longtime resident of Kirkland, WA. Laura created a 501 (c)(3) Private Charitable Trust to ensure the sustainability of a mental health service to a university-centered community.
Clinical tele-mental health (T-MH) services for enrolled students at CSUN are provided free of charge. This is in keeping with the Trust’s mandate.
TWC’s tele-mental health service program will be staffed by trained and supervised Master of Social Work graduates registered as Associate clinical Social Workers completing the required supervised clinical hours for licensed clinical social work application status in California.
Guided by an analytical framework, our Tele-Mental Health Service incorporates ethical best practices in providing long-term individual psychotherapy to enrolled CSUN students referred by a campus-based mental health service.
The date is approaching fast and we’re making preparations. Don’t miss out!
